Thanksgiving is a celebration by the americans of the first immigrants in America, today considered to be the father founders os the Uinted States. Traditionnaly to celebrate Thanksgiving we gather and we share a turkey with a pumpking and cranberry. Pumpking is said to have saved many pilgrims on their first hard winter in Plymouth. It then became a symbolk of a Thanksgiving dinner. For desert, of course the pumpkin pie or cake is a must.
What to pair with the turkey or the pumpkin pie?
A Beaujolais nouveau will match perfectly with the cranberry sauce which is acid and sour and the pumpkin a little sweet. And lucky them it is exactly the time when to drink it!
For desert, think about a Crémant de Loire, or Burgundy or of course a Champagne!
